Under the hood

CUE doesn't just see.
It remembers.

Multi-channel spectral sensing. Computer vision. A voice you trust. Here's exactly how CUE turns a closet full of clothes into a personalized morning briefing.

The pipeline

From fabric to voice in under a second.

GARMENT Any item in the closet Step 01 visible → near-IR SPECTROMETER Multi-channel spectral read Step 02 AI INFERENCE Match + classify item Step 03 "Navy coat. Cold today." VOICE OUTPUT Personalized briefing Step 04 SECRET SAUCE — SPECTRAL FINGERPRINTING item_001: [0.412, 0.631, 0.820, 0.744, 0.392, 0.178 ...] → "old green sweatshirt" item_002: [0.421, 0.645, 0.834, 0.751, 0.401, 0.183 ...] → "new green sweatshirt" Δ = 0.009 Within your wardrobe, CUE distinguishes between visually identical items using sub-nanometer spectral deltas.
Secret sauce

It knows your green sweater.
Not just "a green sweater."

Most color tools see categories. CUE builds an 18-dimensional spectral fingerprint for every item in your wardrobe — and learns how each one ages, fades, and wears over time.

🌈
18-Channel Spectral Read
The AS7341 captures light from 415nm to 940nm across 18 independent channels — covering visible spectrum and near-infrared. Different dye chemistries, fabric weaves, and aging patterns produce measurably distinct signatures.

Individual Item Fingerprinting
Two green sweaters from different brands differ at the dye-chemistry level — CUE detects it. Your old worn sweatshirt vs. the new one? Different NIR reflectance from fiber oxidation and body oils. Within your closed wardrobe, CUE tells them apart.

Wardrobe Memory
During the 3-day learning walk, CUE builds spectral baselines for every item. A nearest-neighbor classifier on 18-dimensional vectors achieves high accuracy across a typical 50–100 item wardrobe. It gets sharper the longer it learns.

NFC as Ground Truth
For 100% certainty, NFC-tagged items provide an unambiguous ID that the spectrometer confirms. The tag says what it is. The sensor says what condition it's in. Together they know which navy coat to grab and whether it needs pressing.

CUE output · 6:47am
"Good morning. It's 42°F and overcast. Your navy wool coat is on the third hook — it pairs well with the charcoal trousers you wore Tuesday."
The output

Not just what.
Why, and where.

CUE doesn't read out a color. It speaks a complete briefing — the item, the reason it works, and exactly where to find it in the closet.

Weather-aware

Checks live temperature, UV index, and forecast before recommending anything.

Occasion-sensitive

Caregiver-set rules for church, work, appointments, and casual days.

Location-specific

Tells you which hook, drawer, or shelf. No searching.
